Bruce Eugene Davison

GASTONIA - Bruce Eugene Davison, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Bruce was born on February 22, 1954, in Buncombe County to the late Rosalie Henry Branch and J. Eugene Davison. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Scott Davison.

Bruce grew up in Buncombe County and attended Lee Edwards High School. He served in the United States Army in California guarding a missile silo.  Surviving are his brother, Charles B. Davison; and sister, Joan D. Mason.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at West Memorial Park in the Veterans Section, near the waterfall.  Reverend Buddy Corbin will officiate, and Robert “Bobby Sax” Hughes will play a medley of hymns on the saxophone.
