Billie J. Penland

LEICESTER – Billie J. Penland, age 85 of Leicester died Monday, October 23, 2023, in Hendersonville.

Miss Penland was born February 14, 1938, in Buncombe County to the late James Virgil & Claudia Chandler Penland. She retired from American Enka Corporation after working in the Accounting Department. Billie was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Leicester. She loved her cats, mustangs, church & family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Pamela Harrington; and brothers, Jerry David Penland, Danny Eugene Penland and Robert Lloyd Penland.

Surviving are her brothers, Tom Penland and wife Sherry and James H. “Bud” Penland and wife Mimi; along with several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be in West Memorial Park.
