Betty Moss McElroy

Betty Moss McElroy, age 86, of Woodfin died Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Mrs. McElroy was born January 23, 1938, in Buncombe County to the late Hobart & Harriett Hyder Moss, she lived all her life in Buncombe County. She was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother; always looking out for everyone else. She loved her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover McElroy; brothers, Clyde, Lloyd, Ernest and Garrett Moss; and sister, Frances Medford.

Surviving is her son, Mitchell Cutshaw; sister, Grace Honeycutt; brother, LeRoy Moss; grandchildren Joseph and Crystal; and great grandchildren, Brandon and Sadie.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, October 28, 2024, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 2:15 pm, on Monday prior to the service.
