Betty Griffin, age 94, of Weaverville died peacefully with Debbie and Buddy by her side on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Betty was born on June 23, 1932, in Buncombe County to the late Dewey R. & Dema Angel Griffin. She formerly worked at Stylecraft and was a waitress for many years in Charlotte. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Janice Griffin, Glenda Golden, and Gail Griffin; and brother, Archie Griffin; and two grand dogs, Baby and Sugar.

Betty loved beach trips and eating out with Debbie. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers, making crafts, reading, quilting and sewing.

Surviving is her daughter, Debbie Griffin Cutshall and husband Buddy of Marshall; sister, Dora DeWeese, and Shirley Golden (Jerry); brothers, Curtis Griffin, Chastine Griffin, and Van Griffin (Janice); two grand dogs, Honey and Maggie; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to The Greens Activity Fund, 78 Weaver Blvd, Weaverville, NC 28787.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Greens for the love and compassionate care given to Betty.
