ALEXANDER – Ben Armstrong Honeycutt, age 22, of Alexander passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Ben was born on January 10, 2003, in Irvine, California and lived there until 2020 when the family moved to Alexander. He was a North Buncombe High School graduate, furthered his education at AB Tech, and then went on to attend UNCA. Ben was a lifelong learner and health advocate who relished a healthy eating lifestyle. He was always happy and willing to help anyone. He liked to do yardwork to help his neighbors, and he loved animals and nature. Ben was a cross-country runner, practiced Muay Thai martial arts and was a wonderful, critical-thinking conversationalist.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Randy Honeycutt and Paul LaBossiere; and uncle, Tao LaBossiere.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Todd and Zen Honeycutt; grandmothers, Christine Honeycutt and Mavis Jan-Lai; brothers, Boden and Bronson; aunts, Chi LaBossiere-Kulig, and Laura Honeycutt; uncles, Jeff Honeycutt, and Tim Kulig; and cousins, Alexis, Alyssa, Alena, and Kaia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery, 25 New Leicester Hwy., Asheville.
