BARBARA ANN “BOBBY” DEAN WOODFIN – Barbara Ann “Bobby” Dean, age 77, of Woodfin died Saturday, December 10, 2016. Ms. Dean was born September 13, 1939 in Buncombe County where she had been a resident for most of her life. “Bobby” had worked as a waitress at The Mediterranean restaurant for almost 20 years. She was a daughter of the late Bill and Agnes Townsend Burleson and wife of the late James “Jimmy” Dean. In addition, she was preceded in death by sisters, Viola Davis Alethia Gerringer; and brother, Burnice Bugg. Surviving are her sister, Louise Harwood; brother, Bill Burleson; and several nieces and nephews. Her graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with Reverend Philip Wilson officiating. West Funeral Home, Weaverville is in charge of the arrangements. Flowers are welcome.
