ANNA LEE NOLES PAYSON, AZ – Anna Lee Noles, 73, of Payson AZ, passed away on Thursday March 9, 2017 peacefully at Rim Country Health. Anna was an amazing, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a very loving and caring person. Anna was born in Asheville, on December 6, 1943, to the late Frank and Reed Buckner. She graduated from Lee Edwards High School. After graduation, she worked as a secretary for the Department of Mental Health in Buncombe County, and later for the Federal Government, Department of Air Force, Asheville. After moving to High Point, she was the executive secretary to the Vice President of Alderman Studios. Upon the start of her family she became a full time and wonderful caring mother. She and her husband, Tillman Noles, moved to Phoenix AZ in 1999 to be with her grown children and to become a proud grandmother. In 2014 they moved to Payson were she played the piano for worship service and continued to faithfully serve the Lord at the Payson First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Noles Bertuzzi and a brother, Davidson L. Buckner. Surviving in addition to her husband, Tillman of Payson, AZ; are two children, Sandra Babcock, and Christopher Noles, both of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, sisters, Frances Malala of American Samoa, Sara Lehrer of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, Robert F. Buckner, Jr., of Asheville and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend John Honeycutt officiating. Burial will be in Brank Cemetery with Tim Lehrer, Jeffrey Lehrer, Wesley Lehrer, Nathan Buckner, Justin Buckner and Michael Babcock, serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Payson First Church of the Nazarene, 200 E Tyler Pky., Payson AZ, designated for the caldrons quizzing team or to West Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
