William C. "Bill" Jordan, Sr. June 07, 2010 LEICESTER – William Carson “Bill” Jordan, Sr., passed away on Monday, the 7th day of June, at The Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Herman Jordan and Julia Lambert Jordan Brank; son, William Arthur Jordan; daughter, Linda Jordan Brunner; and a grandson. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Jordan; a daughter, Wilma Waldrup; sons, James E. Jordan and William C. Jordan, Jr.; sister, Lola Coe; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. The funeral service will be Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Rev. George Hutchins officiating. Burial will be at Blackstock Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Cherokee Honor Guard. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
