WEAVERVILLE – The body of Lois Quinn Dillingham died early Thursday morning, November 21, 2013, at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. She was 91.
Lois was a native of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Franklin Kyle and Nettie Loduska Connor Quinn. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Agnes Rose Quinn Wright and brother, Robert Everette Quinn. She was a member of Celebration Church. Lois resided in Weaverville with her husband, Kenneth Dean Dillingham, with whom she was married for almost 57 years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by her daughter, Deana Holland and husband Jim of Weaverville, her son, Alan Dillingham of Weaverville, and her daughter, Jane Ponder and husband Jackie of Hartsville, SC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Alex, Jaclyn, and Courtney Ponder; Heather Ponder Dyar and husband Sterling; Aaron, Andrew, John, Caleb, Nathan, Kelly, and James Dillingham and 4 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013 in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville with Reverend Dolph Robinson officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
