Jettie Lee Harwood Anderson

BARNARDSVILLE – Jettie Lee Harwood Anderson, age 95, of the Paint Fork Community died on Thursday, October 10, 2013.

Mrs. Anderson was born August 5, 1918 in Buncombe County. She retired from Mills Manufacturing and later worked as a cook at Brooks-Howell Home. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva Banks Harwood and also preceded in death by her sons, Gerald D., Jerry Wayne, and Jimmy Anderson; daughter, Clydia Mae Anderson and grandson, Daniel Rice.

Surviving are her daughter, Eloise Anderson Rice of Weaverville; sons, William G. “Andy” Anderson and wife Cynthia of Barnardsville and Henry S. “Hank” Anderson and wife Gloria of Barnardsville; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Anderson of Barnardsville; sisters, Darlene Harwood, Pauline Fullbright, and Shelby Padgett; brothers, Ralph, Johnny, Wade, and Harold Harwood; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 13, 2013, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, with Reverend Larry Coates officiating. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
